Emily is honored to join this amazing team. For the past several years, Emily has owned and operated Colorado Voice Studios with locations in Denver, Grand Junction, Fort Collins, and Loveland. She has been the Vocal Director for several children’s productions including Matilda, Grease, Fiddler on the Roof, 13 The Musical, and High School Musical. For her work on the production of Grease, she received the National Youth Arts Award for Outstanding Musical Direction.

Current Profession

Emily is honored to join this amazing team. For the past several years, Emily has owned and operated Colorado Voice Studios with locations in Denver, Grand Junction, Fort Collins, and Loveland.

The studio employs teachers not only in voice instruction but in instrumental and songwriting instruction as well. With her expanding online program, Emily is able to share her techniques with students from all over the country.  Her emphasis on vocal styling and versatility have inspired hobbyists and professional singers in the musical theatre and pop/rock genres.

Emily is proud to be a part of the Colorado creative community and takes every opportunity to empower and mentor artists to help them achieve their full vocal potential.

Past Work

She has been the Vocal Director for several children’s productions including MatildaGreaseFiddler on the Roof13 The Musical, and High School Musical.  For her work on the production of Grease, she received the National Youth Arts Award for Outstanding Musical Direction.

Emily has also created a community program that teaches solo and group pop vocals and movement to children that has successfully expanded to an adult program.

As a vocalist, Emily has toured all over the US as a band leader, lead and backup vocalist. She is a sought-after studio vocalist who regularly cowrites with Los Angeles based recording artists and continues to write original material for her own shows and recording projects as well.

Emily’s Mission

Learning new techniques and ways to help singers achieve their full potential is always on Emily’s mind. She has completed both Voice Teacher and Advanced Teacher Trainings with Justin Stoney at New York Vocal Coaching, and regularly travels and attends online classes and workshops on vocal health and voice science.

She believes that it is of utmost importance that all of her students grow in confidence and deeply know their voices. Emily has a particular passion for helping women who have always been told they couldn’t/shouldn’t keep singing. She has helped many women achieve their goals of boldly performing and pursuing what they love. As a mother herself, she finds great joy in encouraging other women to keep pushing forward in the face of adversity and helping them know that nothing should stop the song in their hearts.

Theodora Ivanova Nestorova

Bulgarian-British-American soprano, researcher, and teacher Theodora Ivanova Nestorova has most recently published as first author in the Journal of Voice, Journal of  Acoustical Society of America, and Journal of Singing. For her original work on vocal vibrato, Theodora has won the Best Poster Paper Award at the NATS National Conference, is a two-time  winner of the Best Student Presentation Award at the Pan American Vocology Association  (PAVA) Symposia, and received the First-Place Award from McGill University’s Research  Alive Series.

Fiona Currie

Singing for as long as she can remember and teaching for over a decade, Fiona Currie trained in musical theatre and classical singing before graduating with a First Class Honours degree in Contemporary Music Performance and opening her vocal studio The Voice Diaries. Fiona focusses on vocal health and technique to ensure her singers have the right tools to enjoy longevity in their careers and continue to find joy through singing for many years to come.

Tiago Cruz

Tiago Cruz is a professional singer and singing teacher with over 25 years of experience, initially performing in classical singing and more recently in popular singing. He holds a degree in Speech-Language Pathology and a voice specialist degree.
