Tiago Cruz

Tiago Cruz is a professional singer and singing teacher with over 25 years of experience, initially performing in classical singing and more recently in popular singing. He holds a degree in Speech-Language Pathology and a voice specialist degree. He was a professor in the Speech-Language Pathology undergraduate program at FEAD/MG from 2006 to 2012. He taught classes for the Voice specialization course at PUC Minas. He holds a Master’s degree in Music from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) with a focus on Music and Technology, where he studied the physiology of the countertenor voice. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Music from the same institution with an emphasis on Sonology, specifically studying Facial Expressions in Opera Singers. He was a visiting scholar at Syracuse University, under the guidance of Dr. Kathleen Roland-Silverstein, where he worked on various projects with the institution, including the development of a voice laboratory. He participated in and presented papers at various conferences such as The Voice Foundation and PEVOC. In 2023, he attended the course “The Science of the Singing Voice” taught by Prof. Johan Sundberg.

Emily is honored to join this amazing team. For the past several years, Emily has owned and operated Colorado Voice Studios with locations in Denver, Grand Junction, Fort Collins, and Loveland. For her work on the production of Grease, she received the National Youth Arts Award for Outstanding Musical Direction.
